Early January, but no definite date yet!

I saw my surgeon yesterday, but still don't have a date. It will be early January though. I can't wait. I really like my surgeon he is very compassionate and he spent lots of time answering my questions. However, I feel like I'm more prepared for this than anything I've ever done. I've read so many blogs and lots of posts on lapbandtalk.com. Anyhoo! I look forward to the challenges ahead and wonder if others felt this optimistic about the change....and did it last?
Hmmmm only time will tell!

Hang in there!! You will get your date soon enough and before you know it, the day will arrive! Then your new life will begin and it will be onwards and upwards from there :) I am so thankful for my band everyday - it's the best thing I've ever done.

Tess,
Just hang in there!! I know the hoops they make us jump through to get the Lap Band sometimes seems above & beyond, but at least you are still moving forward!! I saw your comment on Amy W's blog & felt compelled to answer you.

I was lucky in that I was banded 2 1/2 months after my initial required Seminar. Some are even luckier & for many it takes months longer! One blog I read, the poor woman has waited & been jumping through the hoops for a YEAR!! But it all depends on your Insurance & your Surgeon's office & their procedures.

As for the time it will take to get your weight loss & nutrition information all depends on their offices & how pushy you want to be. Don't let them put you off too long. Keep calling at least once a week to see how the information is coming. The blog I was talking about earlier, her file kept being put at the back of the pile to be FILED AWAY for months!!

Anyway, I am glad that you are reading others blogs as each story is different, & yet so similar in many ways. We are a unique group that are becoming fast friends via the Internet & blogging.

I would like to suggest a few other blogs that are definitely worth reading. You know of course Amy W's "Once Upon A Time...In The Land Of Cheese And Sunkist". I would also like to recommend reading: Cara's "The Dash", Gen's "I Heart The Band", & Roo's "A Brand New Roo". Of course there are sooo many great blogs out there! I myself am reading about 92 blogs!!!

I hope you get your Surgery date Very Soon!!! :)

Happy Holidays
