I'm supper tight again, that's what happens when the hormone ferry comes to visit, so although I had done beautifully last week, I've PB'd every day since Sunday. I know, I'm a slow learner, not just a slow loser. My problem is, that I don't do the things I know I need to do when I'm tight. Namely:
- stick to safe foods
- chew, chew, chew and chew some more
- take really small bites
- take really small portions
- stick to liquids until afternoon
- did I mention chew?
- and, don't worry about the tightness, that won't make it better, but guess what, time...relaxation...and following the rules will!
In other news, I'm struggling with eating a balanced diet. I don't take vitamins, I know I need to, but I can't find one that I can consistently take, I need a chewable. I'm also struggling to get my protein in. I need to track my food again, I was doing so well with that until recently. I need to exercise....but I don't. So...bottom line is: I need to get of my ass and do what I need to do to be healthy and successful in my weight loss journey. I'm tracking today. I'm going to be more careful about what I eat when my band is hormone tight, I'm going to exercise if it kills me, and I'm asking you for your suggestions on Protein and vitamin supplements, please. That's a plan right?
It's Wednesday so along with all those things, I'm going to also drink some wine tonight...woo hoo!
Big Hugs!

So, I'm with you on this get remotivated thing! I have to say, I wish I had your issues with hormones. I don't get tight, I open wide up, which is DANGEROUS! But no more excuses. I am remotivated (due to you and everyone else in response to my woe is me post) and I am doing something physical when I get home. Even with major cramps. So, lets get back at it. Sorry, I can't join you in logging. I have tried and tried and just can't make myself do it. Not sure what that is about. Anyway, sorry for the mini post in your comments! Take it easy, and don't forget to chew!
I'm glad you're feeling more positive. I could have wrote that last paragraph you wrote. I need to move , I know it and dont. Then I complain the scale doesn't move. I just bought vitamins again, because I had stopped - have you tried the adult gummy vitamins? They are easy to take and taste good. I get the vitafusion brand.
Hey there - glad you're feeling better today. I've been feeling lots of mixed emotions myself. Its also hard sometimes to post about it, b/c you don't want to be a downer, but its honestly how you're feeling.
I swear, the only thing helping me is the working out that I've been doing. Afterwards, it makes me feel so much better emotionally. I've actually worked out just so that I could stop feeling blue. I wish my feelings were hormonal - b/c at least I know they'd be over soon. :)
As for the vitamins - I like liquid Centrum. It tastes, well, like a vitamin, but I keep it in the fridge and take a quick tablespoon and its just easier than the gummies or regular vitamins for me.
I've read so many posts about getting off our blubber butts lately (including me). Seems like all of bloggerland is in a funk.
Well, I agree: we all need to get up and get out! We WILL feel better!!! We all know it, we just need to do it.
And while tonight is my 'beer drinking with my cousin night at an amazing pizza place' I am not going to have a beer (or pizza!) and i'm going to go home and get a run in.
If I can do it you can do it!!!
Oh, and i'm going to get some gummy vitamins tonight I think. I had some last weekend and they were fun-tastic!
I glad you're feeling better - and much more empowered today! ((huggggsss)) and a push to keep you moving in the right direction!!
I take two Flinstone vitamins and a chewble calcium every morning. I even take them at work because it is easier for me to remember.
You totally have permission to bich slap me for the Chex Mix postings then. I know that the Bariatric Advantage b-12 chewables help me out a lot (link is on my page). I'm glad you are feeling better and that is half the battle!
GUMMY Vitamins are the bomb :) They are the only ones I have managed to take for more than a day. In fact I need to buy some more because like you I am eating like crap. It is like getting a bit of candy snack. I am tight, I am losing but my choices are stupid. right now for example...orange juice and vodka for lunch ":)
xxxooo
I second Tina, gummies are the way to go with vitamins. They taste good and are good for you, what could be better? :)
I take 2 flintstones, 1 b-12 and 1 calcium chew.
Greek yogurt is packed with protein and goes down easy. I don't like the fruity ones, too many carbs.....vanilla or plain are the 2 I use. I mix PB2 in the vanilla and for a snack I will mix in salsa in the plain and dip with cucumber slices. GREAT afternoon snack!
I take the Celebrate chewable multi-vitamin and calcium. I like them both fine. I have a protein drink every morning and I have a some unflavored protein powder that I try to sneak into food as much as I can.
I'm so glad that you are feeling better Tessie Rose. I like knowing that beautiful smile will be back on your face soon.
I asked the BOOBS about vitamins on the blog a few days ago. I was surprised to learn that many people are taking a chewable or even a gummy. Nothing fancy. I was so excited. I went right out to Target to get gummy vitamins. And I'm loving them.
I love me some gummy vitamins. They taste like candy.
Glad things are a little better. I do the gummy vitamins too. I was stealing them from my daughters but now I buy my own. LOL.
I'm so happy that things are going OK again. I will do a post soon (maybe even a VLOG) on my vitamins that I take. Vitamins are a neccessary evil for us WLS peeps.
Hi T! I miss you. For vitamins I like the gummy kind or flintstones. The sugar coated calcium chews are really good too. P.S. I miss you!
