But there's always a butt!

I'm feeling a little uninspired today. I was thinking, it's time for a post...one that's really funny or heartfelt and thought provoking. But, I'm not feeling it. I'm feeling a little bummed out right now. I'm going on a little trip to DC tomorrow which is very exciting. I'm going to see some friends and spend a weekend with my most excellent husband. I have a wonderful life and so much to be thankful for. I truly am thankful.
But....there's always a but isn't there? The but right now is the BUTT, my ex husband. I'm having some anxiety about leaving town and leaving my kids with their dad, because...well he's a butt! He's been such a jerk as of late, which makes me believe that he's having some personal issues. I can't believe that 5 1/2 years later he's still jacking with me. My kids deserve so much better in a father. The upside is, they have so much better...in their step-father. I'm glad I'm in the place I'm in today. My life is good, my health is getting better each day, my butt, is actually getting smaller, even though my ex-butt is constantly on the grow!

I hope everyone has a great day and a great rest of the week. I'm so lucky to have you guys.

Big Hug!

I hope you have a wonderful time in DC! I used to work there when I worked for Fedex. I leave tomorrow for Phoenix. Talk to you soon!

Oh Tess, we have so much in common honey! They are almost at the age where they can make the decision to allow him to stay in their lives or not. Thank God we both chose a better father figure for them the second time around. My feeling is that I needed the jerk for his sperm, otherwise I wouldn't have the great daughters I have, I just didn't need to take his crap for 18 years. My girls love Steve and refer to him as their bonus-dad. Steve got a fathers day card their dad did not. That says it all.

Enjoy your DC trip and the alone time with the hubs!

Have an awesome time in DC baby doll...don't sweat things about which you have no control because it will just make you crazy. Hold on tight to those things wonderful in your life...you clearly recognize all of them.

I'm sorry. Try to enjoy your time, your kids are older and they are better prepared to handle themselves. Your ex may be jealous that your new husband is close to the kids. Or maybe he's just an ass. Either way you deserve the time off, and the kids deserve a relationship with their dad even if its not a perfect one. I don't mean to be preachy since I don't know your situation, its just my opinion.
