The weekend in review...

Hey there! I hope everyone is doing well. I'm sorry I've been absent from the blog scene for the last week or so. I've just been really busy. So, let me catch you up...

  • Friday evening I had my Business Launch for Rodan & Fields Dermatologist, and it was a great success! I sold way more than I thought I would and am very close to earning back my initial investment, how cool is that?

  • My next door neighbor passed away on Thursday and the funeral was Saturday. It was a wonderful funeral, a real celebration of his life and quite quirky. It's nice when you walk a way from a funeral knowing that the deceased would have loved the display of affection and appreciation!

  • My kids are back at their dad's for a week and I hate it, particularly because my oldest and his girlfriend broke up, and I just hate that I'm not able to keep an eye on him and make sure he's okay. It's so hard when your kids are hurting.

  • My PB free week went pretty well. I did have one PB episode during the week, but clearly it was due to user error. I think my fill level is just right and that I really have been pushing the envelope as far as bite size and chewing. Once I got back to basics, and started really listening to the band (hello, don't take another bite unless you are sure!) I didn't have any problems.

  • I wanted to wear a black dress to the funeral that I haven't worn in a while. This is just a plain black dress and it's always been a little snug around the middle. I bought it for my 25th class reunion a few years ago. Anyway, I was shocked when I put it on that it was way too big on me and I couldn't wear it. I don't really understand it, as my weight has virtually stayed the same for months now. I guess something is happening, whether I can see it or not.

I guess that about covers things. I'm not a big fan of Monday, but hey....it's here so, I guess I'll deal with it. I hope you all have a great week. I've got some blog catching up to do.

Big Hugs!

Yeah for a PBfree week!!! That is awesome. I love that the dress was too big. That is a great NSV.

Hugs to your baby...but he will be fine. You are his mom and you taught him well.

That's great about the dress not fitting! I am kind of in the same boat...I only weigh 2 pounds less than I did 4 months ago...but I definitely feel smaller, and people have been commenting that it looks like I've lost a lot since then. I guess it takes our bodies time to catch up!

Great NSV with the dress and glad the PB's are to a minimum.

Poor guy, break ups are hard. I'm sure his dad can provide some wisdom, at least one can always hope.

Glad to hear about the dress, that's awesome. :)

It is so hard when our children are hurting, especially when the hurt is emotional. Hope he is dealing okay. Awesome NSV on the dress. Even if you missed the opertunity to wear a beloved dress. Even when we're not losing pounds we're still making progress (if your doing what your suppose to).

It's just so amazing (not to mention it always makes me feel stupid) when you follow the basic rules of the band how well it goes. And yet, every week I seem to fuck it up. What's that about.

I love love love that the dress was too big - what a great NSV and a lovely surprise to learn your body is changing in good ways.

OK...THIS is why I need to keep up with the blogs. I just spent over $100 on skin care products at my plastic surgeons office yesterday and had I paid attention, I would have tried your products instead!!! At least I know for next time. (The stuff I bought I wrote about on my blog last night)

As I was reading your post, I'm eating my lunch. I was about to put a bite into my mouth when I read..."don't take a bite until you are sure." Great advice! I sat down my fork and I'm waiting until I'm sure. :)
