Just a little blue.

Yes, I'm a little blue today. I haven't' been feeling well, I have a bladder infection, and it's making me feel crappy and I did not exercise again today, which really adds to my overall bluish haze. I didn't feel well this morning, so I stayed in bed instead of getting up and moving, that makes me tired during the day. Whaa, whaa! Okay enough whining. Tomorrow I will move my body and produce some sweat, and I will start monitoring my blood pressure, I think it may be time to change my dosage on the BP meds, I'm feeling a little light headed and lethargic.

Something very strange is happening to me as well....hmmm... I just can't decide what to eat anymore. I can be really hungry, but nothing sounds good to me at the time. I hate that. Has that happened to any of you? It's like, I don't want to be hungry anymore, but I don't want to go through the trouble of finding something to eat either. I don't understand it.
And, tonight is date night and I have rehearsal. I'd much rather go have a nice drink with my hubby than go to rehearsal. I'm just extra whiny today. But, tomorrow will be a new day.
Have a good one and thanks for all of your wonderful comments, it's so nice to share this journey with all of you!
Hugs,
T

I know what you mean because I get kidney infections from time to time due to my diabetes, and you really don't know what to do with yourself.

I've got a vegetarian friend staying with me at the moment (very slim) and planning meals for her is doing me no good at all. Texture and calorie wise there's so little I can have, that if I also have to make it vegetarian there's not much left that won't bung me up... So I look at my cupboards despondently and wonder what on earth to cook. And wish I could go to bed and not have to think about it!

I'm enjoying my friend's company of course - it's just the food aspect which is such a pain with the lapband. We went to the pub today and I ended up eating too much of the wrong things, and then I chickened out of going to the bariatric appointment this evening, pleading sickness (lies). Wrong wrong. I must get out of my chair and exercise, as you say...

Hope you're feeling better!

Everytime I have lost weight, including with the lapband, I experienced feelings of "blue-ness" - these feelings would last for 2-3 weeks then pass. By journaling, though, I was able to see a trend and recognize the feelings and deal with them.

I hope you feel better soon.

That hungry-but-nothing-sounds-good-to-me thing happens to me all the time. Frankly, I prefer it to not-hungry-yet-everything-sounds-DELICIOUS!! Feel better!

I agree...bladder infections are the worst! Have some blue applesauce...it will make you smile. :) My children eat that stuff...I just can't bring myself to eat blue applesauce or green catsup. Hope you feel better soon! :) Hugs!

I hope you feel better Tessie! Bladder infections are sent straight from hell. I had one last year. OMG - I put it up there with child birth. YUCK!
