This is what my weight chart would look like.
Jen, I cut my bangs, they didn't weigh 1/8 of a pound, Sally I tinkled twice. I accepted all good vibes, all kind words and encouragement duly noted. Still....no movement on the scale. I'm a little miffed about it. But, I'm eating well, doing the right things, I'm in this for the long haul right? I wanted to be down 50 for the BOOBS trip, but unless I lob off a portion of my leg, that seems unlikely.
On the other hand, I feel good, I'm happy that I've lost what I have, I'm glad I got the band. I'm feeling like this is just a rough patch. I'm going to keep at it. I'll up my exercise, and just keep on keeping on, surely the scale will move right? I have read some blogs that suggest that for a period of time, your body is adjusting and then all of a sudden, you start losing again. Has anyone experienced this? My fingers are crossed as I type.
Have a great Thursday guys!
Big Hug,

I think there is some truth to the adjustment phase of weight loss. Maybe just increasing exercise a little will make the damn thing move down! John says I have sparks that fly through my fingertips...you know, "Witchy Woman" I will gladly point them in your general direction....maybe that will help too :)
Ok, then time for drastic measures:
Magic Shave Powder, Waxing or Shaving.
I hear ya on the flatline -that's me too.
SUCKS but at least we aren't gaining right?
I don't think I've ever maintained weight as well as I do with the band. It's great, but like you, I still want to be losing.
Eh, it's the small victories right? Let's just be happy for how far we've come. Just for today. Tomorrow we can be annoyed again.
Sadly, I am not above 'lobbing' off parts of my body to lose weight. I mean, who needs pinky toes anyway?
I am flatlining, as well... it is weird because I am working out and eating great, more than ever before. And instead of being rewarded for all my hard work, I am getting like nothing. It is a bit depressing, I am going to just keep going at it as long as I can...
I absolutely believe our bodies adjust, hold flat and than the losing starts again! Try increasing your protein intake. My trainer always tells me that but I can't verify from personal experience.
Please don't start lobbing off your body parts, unless they can grow back!
I do believe in the adjustment phase. If you KNOW you are eating right and exercising, then what else could it be?
Take care and keep on keepin' on!
I think that when this happens to me, that it is my body clinging on to every ounce that it can before it finally has to give in. YOU SHOW THAT FLAB WHO IS BOSS!! Stay strong, keep working it - because logically, you know that if you keep it up, it IS going to come off. STAY STRONG SISTA!!
What I got of your post was... "keep on keeping on" Thank you!
I might have to borrow that as my motto.
Have a great day!!!
I am flat lining too, but if we keep doing the right things it's got to catch up, right?
Can I help you with the weight loss/plateau problem? What have you been eating and doing for exercise? If you contact me, I can try to give you some suggestions for switching it up a bit.
Your previous post about "I'm sorry" sure as heck sounded familiar. I too apologize for EVERYTHING. I found it astounding when a friend of mine showed me a scrapbook her mother made. The scrapbook was of all the times my friend (karen) wrote apology notes to her mother. Her mom found it funny and made an entire book out of it. Boy, we women sure grow up in a culture where we're made to feel bad about EVERYTHING, don't we?

Hang in there love bug. We love you.
Now...is it all better yet??
YES! I go 3 weeks bouncing up and down, maybe I'll lose a pound, maybe I won't, and then WHOOOSH! I'll lose a pound a day for about 5 days in a row. That seems to be my pattern. It was frustrating as hell at first, but if I can maintain that pattern, it all works out. I hope you have a big WHOOOOOSH soon and I know you will!
Don't despair my little pudding pop. Have you tried a nervous break down? That's workin' for me.
;)
