I'll take it. Slow and steady wins the race....right? I have to say, that I can't see much of a difference at this point other than my chin is no longer in triplicate. I'm happy with the results. Although, I have to say I would like to have 2 pounds a week, why can't I just be happy with what I get? I get my first fill is next Thursday and I'm really excited about that.
I have been doing really well with exercise and food. I find that I'm quite satisfied most of the day, until about 4 o'clock, then the hunger just really starts going strong. I had been thinking that since I was getting hungrier, I must have no restriction, right? Well, last night I ate a turkey burger patty. It was a little dry, so I put some ketchup and mustard on my plate and I began to eat it. Jeez, that thing sat like a brick in my chest for probably and hour and a half. I would have to say, I indeed have something. I've never really been stuck and I hope to never be, but if that was close, I don't want it. Lesson learned: Turkey patties are too dry....ouch.
In other news. I did not have to go back for Jury duty. I was happy about that. And, tonight is date night. We are going to see Steve Martin tonight. He is now touring with a bluegrass band. I remembered that he played the banjo and that he loved bluegrass. I love Steve Martin and would pay good money to see him play the radio. So, I'll let you know how that goes. I'm excited.
Happy Hump Day!

18 lbs is great. You should be happy dancing! I went for my first fill yesterday. Was easy enough. Now I wait to see what happens!
Keep on rocking that band, you are doing great. Remember, we didn't put all of this weight on in a day...going to take time to get it off!
18 lbs is wonderful! Slow and steady does indeed win the race, as once it's off, it STAYS off.
Congrats!
18 pounds is awesome - especially for a first month! You are doing sooo well! No surprise there. :)
Have fun on date night!
Tess - you are doing great - Slow & steady it is! WTG!!!!
Good job!
18 lbs you'll NEVER see again - you ARE doing great. Pat yourself on the back....WE are all proud of you every day - every pound.
Smooches.
Congrats on the 18 lbs! That's wonderful!
18 lbs down is great! You're doing really well.
Sigh. I love hearing about your date nights. My hubby and I go out about once a month, which definitely isn't enough. We need to work on that. You're doing great with your weight loss - especially with no fill.
Way to go! 18 pounds!! I didn't realize how close our surgeries were!
Way to go on the 18 pounds...I'm especially proud of you for your exercise mentality. That's going to be the toughest for me.
You rock Tess.
Congrats on one less chin. That would make me happy! How was the concert? Isn't it nice when we can focus on living our lives, and not just on weight and weight loss? Hope you had a fabulous time!
