Friday Edition: BYOC Bring your own craziness!

I'm kinda like Sandy here, I keep saying, "I'm not doing that this week." But I keep doing it, I think I don't want to do it, because everyone has such clever answers and there's pressure to perform! But, here goes...

1. If you ever won the lottery – what’s the very first thing you’d do? I'd pay of my house, by my husband a bad-ass car, buy my son a car, and get a second home that's not in a flood zone.

2. What is your favorite curse word? (This one is from Joey)Well, I work at a trucking company so the one that's thrown around here the most is the F-bomb. I guess, being the mother of all curse words, it's pretty powerful. I must say though, I've found that it's lost some of it's umpf.
3. What is your favorite holiday and why? Christmas. I love the smell, the lights, the family get togethers, hell I even love fruitcake!
4. What turns you on? (another suggestion from Joey) My husband is the best kisser, that will do it for me any day!
5. Whose blog spoke to you, stayed with you, meant the most to you, stands out to you this week and why? I would say Amanda (http://amandakiska.blogspot.com/) and Gen (http://ihearttheband.blogspot.com/) this week.
I loved Drazil's story of how she and Jen became BFF's. I am blessed with many wonderful friends, but my best friend from college and into adulthood was Cammie, today would have been her 46th birthday. The pictures above are of me and Cammie, the first one (circa 1997) she was pregnant with her son, I had just had my youngest. The second one (circa 1985) is a party pic from college. She died of cancer at 34, leaving a husband and a son who was just 1 year old. She was the kind of friend that never judged me, she was beautiful, kind and talented and there isn't a day that goes by that I don't miss her. So today, take a moment to call your friends and let them know that you love them. I want to tell you all that I feel so blessed to have found such a wonderful, supportive group of women to share my journey with. Thank you so much, I can't wait to meet some of you in September.

Big Friday Hug!

I'm so sorry about your friend. Funny how those little reminders help us remember the good stuff of those who aren't here anymore (except in our hearts).

Thank god you just love fruitcake and aren't one. F***.
