I thought you'd enjoy a few pics from Thanksgiving weekend.
In other news... I broke down and weighed... I probably shouldn't have and the scale is back in hiding, but I did it none the less. I lost 3 pounds over the "no-weigh" period, 5 if you count the 2 that had bounced back on me. So, that brings my total loss to 47 pounds down! I have to admit that last night when I weighed, I felt heavier after seeing the number than I did before, so it did prove the point that the scale definitely affects my mood and my self image. My plan is to continue on course and weigh maybe once a week. I think that's a good plan. I'm extremely happy with my progress, I feel great, I know I look better and I definitely have more energy. My weight loss has averaged out to 5.87 pounds per month and I am just fine with that. So, at that rate, I should be at my goal by August 2011. Not exactly what I thought would happen when I had weight loss surgery, but something I can definitely live with. My darling husband was so sweet when I weighed, because at first I thought that I hadn't lost anything at all (I had to go back and look in my book for my last recorded weight) and I was just in tears. He was so supportive and so very sweet, I am so lucky to have that kind of support right at home, not to mention the support I've found through all of you. Thank you so much for all that you have added to my life!
It's Wednesday, I like!
Big Hugs!!

Congrats on the loss. Very proud of you for the loss and the "no scale" victory too.
I have been following your "no scale" journey to see how you did. I think I am becoming addicted to the scale.
You are so brave for going cold-turkey with the scale. Its great that you recognize how you let the scale affect you. Congrats on the weight loss! Keep up the good work! P.S. As the mom of two boys myself, I loved seeing your photos. Mine are much younger than yours, but aren't boys the most fun?!
Three lbs. is GREAT!!! But I know what you mean about thinking your loss is more and then seeing the number and "feeling" differently.
I think you were really remarkable with the whole "no-weigh" experiment. Thanks for sharing with us!
Nice piccies
Yipppeeee on the loss! Keep at it girl...slow and steady is just fine!
way to go! what a great feeling :) and you have 2 handsome boys!
You and your boys are simply adorable! I am very happy for you and your weight loss so far. Try as I might, I cannot seem to stay off the damn scale! Funny, I think about you every time I step on it too!
Cute pics! congrats on your loss!
I so couldn't do the no-scale-thing. Kudos to you for even trying and doing so well with that! And congrats on the loss. Slow and steady is perfectly fine, but like you, I thought I was going to lose a bit quicker, too. Nonetheless, I know all that is lost is lost for good. And I find a lot of comfort in that!
Glad the scale showed a loss BUT you should be weighing in the morning, butt naked after peeing and pooping. I bet you can get another 2 pounds loss.
Looks like the birthday was a fun time.
You are so much better of a soul than I could dream of being. Giving up a scale would be like me trying to quit the internet cold turkey...just not going to happen! Congrats on the loss and I agree with Sandy. Weigh in the morning and you will see a lower number I'm sure! Congrats :)
Thanks for sharing. I think your loss is great and the fact that it has been incremental probably means it will be easier to retain. Your husband seems like a precious and sweet man. I'm glad you have a great support system.
Great pics, and it honestly sounds like your rate of loss is just fine.
Love the pics! *hugs*
